Night one

I - Why mommy not stay here?

I - I need my lovey too, and I have my do-ah (Dora) banket (blanket) my have my new banket
A- Daddy washed it. cuz you throw up on you do-ah banket

I - I'm tired too (sounds like he is fading into sleep...)

A - Ian say bow wow. Who turned the brushteef on (their word for toothbrush) Max turned the brushteeth on, cuz that's not the right thing
I - I don't wannoo (want to)
A- Nuf talking...and now we seeping. Max wake us up (Big brother Max is in the bathroom, using the electric toothbrush, which apparently they can hear!)

I - Ow-ah. I need my Minnie mouse. I need to give you a hug Minnie. hey, Minnie, (talks softly to Minnie stuffed animal)

And that's the end, they both go to sleep...some background. We were at Disney World last week where they each got Minnie Mouse stuffed animals that they now sleep with. I made them each monkey pillows several months ago, that they also sleep with. And of course, they have their trusty loveys, which they have with them most of the time.

We got back from Disney, and then everyone got a stomach bug and was throwing up, of course in their beds (why make it to the bathroom when you can just go in your bed?!?!). So we had to wash lots of bedding. When we took Ian's blankets to be washed, I found a Dora blanket in the closet and gave it to him, which he now loves!

So that's night 1 of my project; took much longer for me to transcribe than I had anticipated. The entire conversation was about 10 minutes, but took me awhile to hear everything and get it typed. I'm going to try to turn the volume up on the camcorder, or position it better so I can hear more clearly. So far, I am entertained! Glad to hear they ask each other "why" all the time, because they ask me constantly!! Can't wait to hear what they discuss tonight...
